Mission

Michigan Deer Hunters for APRs is a Michigan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving Michigan's deer herd and preserving quality hunting opportunities for current and future generations.

Our organization advocates for science-based antler point restrictions (APRs) and responsible deer management practices designed to improve deer herd age structure, protect young bucks, and provide hunters with better opportunities for quality deer.

Our Goals

  1. Advocate for science-based antler point restrictions across Michigan.
  2. Improve deer herd age structure by protecting young bucks.
  3. Promote quality hunting opportunities for Michigan hunters.
  4. Educate hunters and the public about deer management and the potential benefits of APRs.
  5. Support science-based deer management that benefits Michigan's deer herd and future generations of hunters.
